Hi, I'm Larissa.

And if you've spent years feeling like your body was the problem — I want you to know that I understand that feeling more personally than you might expect from someone who now does this work for a living.

I was introduced to diet culture at 11 years old. Eleven. Before I even fully understood what a body was, I'd already learned that mine needed to be fixed, controlled, and managed. And like so many women, I spent years carrying that belief without ever questioning where it came from — or what it was costing me.

At 24, everything changed. A tumour, the size of a small planet — was found in my head. It stopped me in my tracks and forced me to ask a question I'd never thought to ask before:

What if instead of fighting my body, I learned to support it?

That question changed the entire direction of my life.

In the years that followed, I navigated infertility and hypothyroid challenges (that included weight gain) — quietly, privately, the way so many women do. And through nourishment, nervous system work, and deep lifestyle change, I watched my body respond. Not because I controlled it harder. Because I finally gave it what it actually needed.

That journey — from diet culture at 11, to a health crisis at 24, to navigating the deeply personal challenges that followed — is why I do this work. And it's why I built Get Nourished the way I did.
