Hi, I’m Larissa.
I created Get Nourished after 2 decades of working with people who were intelligent, motivated, and deeply committed to their health… and still felt stuck in the same food and body patterns.
Not because they didn’t know what to eat.
Not because they didn’t care enough.
Because no one had ever helped them understand what was driving their behaviours underneath the surface.
My understanding of this work is both professional and deeply personal.
I was introduced to diet culture very young — around age 11 — and like many people, spent years believing my body was wrong, something to control, fix, or override.
At 24, I experienced a major health scare ( a tumour the size of a small planet in my head) that completely shifted how I saw health, food, and my body. It set me on a path of learning how to support my body rather than fight it.
Along the way, I was able to support my own body through infertility and hypothyroid challenges using nourishment, nervous system work, and lifestyle changes — which deepened my belief that the body responds powerfully when it feels supported and safe.
Over the past 20+ years, I’ve worked across movement, nutrition, nervous system regulation, and behaviour change — supporting people through real life, not perfect conditions.
And what I’ve learned is this:
Lasting change doesn’t come from more pressure, stricter plans, or trying to control yourself harder.
It comes from understanding your body.

Your patterns.
